HI-WAY 5 is a high energy Vermont based rock band that plays classic songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s along with original songs that were born right here in the Upper Valley. HI-WAY 5 is a classic power trio with occasional guest musicians who add to the the flavor of HI-WAY 5’s brand of rock n roll. Covers include all manner of nuggets from Elvis to the Beatles, from Creedence Clearwater Revival to Jimi Hendrix, from Chuck Berry to the Rolling Stones, and all points in between. Their originals delve into local experiences like navigating the old rope tow at Northeast Slopes in East Corinth, mysterious happenings on Brushwood Road, and the timelessness of a summertime Saturday night at the old HI-WAY 5 Drive In Theater in Fairlee, from which the band derives their name.
