Blues without Borders

We are not your father’s blues band! As much as we appreciate the classic blues styles of Chicago and Texas, Blues Without Borders’ focus is on the new hot blues rock artists such as Beth Hart, Joe Bonamassa, Danielle Nicole, and song of the year Grammy winner, Bonnie Raitt.   We will add in some of our favorite classic rock tunes as well.

Blues Without Borders came together late in 2019. Scott and Dan were regulars at local blues jams. Both knew Deb. All three knew they wanted to play together. Mike was brought in after playing with Dan for several years previously. After some help from a handful of talented players, BWOB was happy to add Jon Randel. They’ve been through some trials that could have ended many projects, but instead helped to build the ties of family and commitment it takes to make a great band.

Blues Without Borders features the vocal powerhouse, Deb Tier and the incendiary guitar stylings of ScottyMac. The talented rhythm section supporting these two consists of Jon Randel on keys, Mike “Uncle Joe ” Burbank on bass and Dan “Freight Train of Rhythm ” Whittemore on drums. strums.

Expect to hear covers of blues rock tunes, a few classics and many new songs from some of today’s hottest acts. If you’re lucky, maybe even a bit of BWOB original music.
