About Us

Fairlee Community Arts is an organization established to cultivate, promote and present community activities and events, concerts, and shows.

The seed of the organization was planted at the beginning of 2017 when a couple Fairlee residents decided to organize a summer concert series on the town common. Right from the start, the response from the community was positive and concerts on the common became a popular Tuesday night event. Building on the success of the summer concerts, a group of interested community members met several times beginning in November of 2017 to discuss the creation of a local arts council to carry on the concerts and expand programming. The result was the formation of Fairlee Community Arts, Inc., which officially registered as a Vermont non-profit corporation on December 2, 2017.

Thanks to the continued generosity of local businesses, foundations, and individuals, Fairlee Community Arts presented a second successful summer concert series in 2018, and with the re-opening of the town hall auditorium, began presenting programs throughout the year. The organization plans to expand programming to include lectures, visual art, theatrical performances, and more.

Fairlee Community Arts is also working in partnership with the town to raise funds to outfit the town hall auditorium with high quality sound, projection, and lighting equipment that will make the space a versatile, multipurpose community facility.

The organization is run entirely by volunteers.
