…The mosaic will be composed of porcelain dinnerware, porcelain tiles, and glass, all broken into tesserae. We will gather as much of this material as possible from the town community itself, so the mosaic will literally be made from the history of our people. Imagine digging up an old chipped plate discarded at the edge of the farm from great grandparents who first settled the family in the area. The town still reflects Samual Morey’s inventive, and adventurous spirit and in keeping with that, I propose we add an “augmented reality” layer on top of the mosaic. Any viewer can hold up their phone and view the mosaic as it comes alive with graphics and animations. …
