In March 2021 Fairlee Community Arts, with help from community members, applied for and was awarded an Animating Infrastructure Grant from the Vermont Arts Council. The award of $15000 will be used to commission artwork in the I-91 underpass.

FCA developed a Request for Qualifications or RFQ which was advertised and sent out to artists. From those responses a Review Committee chose four finalists who will be invited to develop a full proposal.
The chosen finalists will be visiting Fairlee in the month of September.
